Black Phantom quartz and Lemurian Quartz are two different crystals, Black phantom Lemurian is a combination of both minerals, fused during the natural process of crystal formations. When two crystals or mineral deposits grow close, they often combine to form one stone. The composition of this crystal point is mainly Lemurian quartz on the exterior and phantom quartz inside. These extraordinary points are high quality with excellent transparency, allowing visibility of the phantom quartz inside the crystal.

Phantom Quartz is often transparent or white, with a Mohs hardness rating of 7 and several colour inclusions. This unique crystal contains prismatic or needle-like crystals inside it. These crystals were formed when certain Amphibole minerals washed over the quartz and interrupted the natural growth cycle. As the crystals continue to grow, a phantom-like image of itself was left behind, at the time, when the mineral washed over it. This image often runs from the upper left to the bottom right part of the crystal.

Lemurian crystal (also known as the Lemurian Seed crystal) has a very intriguing story of its origin. The name references Lemuria, a lost land that precedes Atlantis. The characteristic that defines them is the deep ridges on the sides of the crystals.
